In this session we’ll talk about the four essential considerations for change readiness and offer helpful change readiness tools that you can employ immediately with yourself and your clients.

1.   Learn the benefits of using the Change Navigation assessment and model in your coaching practice.

2.   Identify 3 barriers to making change that sticks long term.

3.   Be able verbalize 2-3 strategies that can be applied to adapt to change.

4.   Explore and discuss the impact change has on you and those you coach.

CHRIS MUSSELWHITE

From 1990-2015 Chris was the founder and CEO of Discovery Learning International (DLI).  He created twenty five products including Change Style Indicator, Influence Style Indicator, Discovery Leadership Profile series, Decision Style Profile, Change Navigator, Change Readiness Gauge, and Paper Planes. Prior to DLI Chris was a senior adjunct trainer at the Center for Creative Leadership and an associate professor of manufacturing management and engineering design at N.C. A&T State University.

In 2016 Chris completed the Professional Certification Program in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Stanford University.  He holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Design; M.A. degree in the Interdisciplinary Program for the Study of Technology; M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering; and Ed.D. degree in Organizational Training and Development from N.C. State University.  Chris is also a certified yoga instructor.

In 2013 Chris was presented the Global HR Excellence Award for Outstanding Leadership by the World HRD Congress in Mumbai, India.  He was also selected as the 2013 Executive of the Year for the Change Management Industry by Worldwide Who’s Who.  He has served as the board chairperson for Kellogg Fellows Leadership Alliance, Elsewhere and Second Breath and on the board of the Community Agroecology Network, Wellspring Solutions, and Greensboro Farmers’ Curb Market.

He has been published in Chief Learning Officer, Leadership Excellence, Talent Management, ASTD, American Executive, Leadership in Action, and HBR OnPoint.  He is the author of the book, Dangerous Opportunity: Making Change Happen.   His current project is a book of autobiographical short stories.

MATTHEW MCMILLAN

Matthew McMillan MS, LCMHC, LCAS, CHt, CCS is an innovative therapist that has been providing Counseling and Consulting Services in Greensboro, North Carolina area since 1992. He is the founder and CEO of Impact4today, Pllc: Consulting & Counseling Services in Greensboro.  Matthew has designed & facilitated programs for treating mental health and substance abuse, improved parenting skills, leadership development, and organizational change and team building. Matthew has made appearances of Radio talk shows and Television call-in shows.

Matthew became a Certified Hypnotherapist by the International Certification Board of Clinical Hypnotherapist after extensively studying Trauma, PTSD, and the link with Addictions. He provides hypnosis for trauma resolution, weight management, relapse prevention, and to become a non-smoker.

His HIL (Horse Integrate Learning) Program utilizes the power of horses and experiential training to challenge individuals or groups to grow in the areas of Health, Wellness, and Teamwork.
