COVID Brain: What It Is and What to do About It

Presenter:  Karen Pollard, PsyD; Founder of Brain Power Advisors

Program Description: “These are unprecedented times.”  We’ve been hearing this all over the place.  And it’s true!  But, what effect is the COVID quarantine having on your brain?  And is there any hope for your brain to get back to “normal?” In this program, Dr. Karen Pollard, Neuropsychologist and Executive Performance Coach, will discuss details about how the COVID quarantine may be impacting your brain functioning and will help you begin thinking about and planning the steps needed to help circumvent those issues to feel back to “normal.”

Benefit for Coaches: By understanding the impact that our current situation is having on brain functioning, coaches will be able to increase their own work efficiency and reduce their own stress, while also learning valuable information that they can pass on to their clients and use in their work with their clients to help them in the same way.

Presenter Bio: Dr. Pollard earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from University of La Verne in Los Angeles, California.  She then specialized in clinical neuropsychology at University of Virginia.  She has worked with thousands of people to help them gain a greater understanding of how their brain works and offer them individualized suggestions for how to maximize their brain’s potential.  About three years ago she founded Brain Power Advisors where she uses a 3-step process to help leaders unlock the unique processing power of their brain in order to increase efficiency and reduce stress.  In her personal life, Dr. Pollard is the married mother of two young daughters.  She is also an adventurer; she was recently part of a group that raised funds to start a cervical cancer screening clinic in Tanzania and while there, she and her team climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro.    In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, playing the piano, and playing poker. Website: www.HarnessYourBrainPower.com
